Peter is the Executive Chairman of diversified investment company, Ivany Investment Group (IIG), with holdings in property expansion and venture capital as well as strategic investments in listed and unlisted companies both in Australia and overseas.
Peter has over 28 years experience and expertise across many businesses, particularly consumer marketing, leisure, entertainment, retail, media, communications and property. He remains actively involved in the management of several businesses including Base Backpackers and IMAX Theatres.
Peter previously held the position of Managing Director and CEO of Hoyts Cinemas Limited. Under Peter’s management the company grew from a small cinema chain with 40 theatres in Australia to a global business with over 2,000 theatres operating in 12 countries. Revenue increased from $50m in 1988 to over $1 billion in 1999.
Peter is Chairman of Momentum Pacific Group Pty Limited. As a senior adviser to Momentum Corporate, he provides strong operational management expertise and a background in private equity co-investment which he has undertaken through IIG for the past 5 years.
